This time for a single work, an european project, a human and professional collaboration with Boris Seewald. This is a spot with approx. 750 hand-made paintings and a month and a half of post- production.

Desperate to find her voice in the wake of an ended relationship, she resorts to sharing any piece of advice she can muster. Her reflection on their differences strikes up an imaginary conversation”. We are pleased to announce the international representation of Ralf Hildenbeutel, composer and producer based in Frankfurt, Germany.

We’ve had the great pleasure representing him for his first Italian score assignment for “Maltese – Il romanzo del Commissario” series, that was produced by RAI, Palomar and ZDF Enterprise, and released in May, 2017. The crime series taking place in Sicily in the 70ies is acclaimed to become one of most successful productions of the year 2017 in Italy. Ralf’s score for “Maltese” has been highlighted as “additional main character of the series” by Italian media.

Most recently Ralf has co-written & co-produced the new artist album of Chris Liebing (to be released on Mute Records) and he won the “Goldener Reiter” at the renowned Dresdner Filmfest for his score for the short film “Eine Villa mit Pinien”.

Laibach: LIVE at Ultima Festival in Oslo, Norway, September 2014

Laibach have been invited to Ultima Festival to perform their interpretation of music by Norway’s most celebrated composer, Edvard Grieg. Laibach will premiere their variation on Grieg’s unfinished opera Olav Tryggvason, a work named after a Viking king. The theme of this year’s Ultima is “The Nation”. It’s hard to imagine a more fitting presence than Laibach. After all, they do have their own utopian state entity – the NSK State (Neue Slowenische Kunst), a borderless supranational structure, complete with its own passports and postage stamps.

Laibach at the Industrial Art Biennial on September 19, 2014

Laibach is opening the IAB in a historic Istrian city of Labin, Croatia with a Red District exhibition. Industrial Art Biennial (IAB) is a new art festival project of Labin Art Express XXI (L.A.E. XXI), which would be held first as a pilot-project in 2014 in Labin, and from 2015 biennially in Labin as well as at some other industrial locations in Istria (Raša, Pula, Rovinj,…), while from 2019 it should take place also under the ground, in the former coal mine 160 m below ground level, where L.A.E. XXI is developing its fundamental project Underground City XXI whose construction is planned to start in 2016.

Immediately eerie, Laibach‘s “Eurovision” starts with short shots of commonplace industrial items (like smoke billowing out of a factory or un-trembling telephone wires), timed to the ominous beat. Lyrics come in via a grovel-y deep-pitched voice – he’s not singing so much as he’s speaking, quietly and almost threateningly. He’s describing people (crying in the streets, or with their hands raised to the sky), but there are none in this video but Laibach himself, standing very still in a field. The repeated chorus refrain explains all the bleak warnings: “Europe is falling apart.” And as fog rolls into the setting, the landscapes fade to black and white. There’s a second electronic voice that comes in to help with refrains – she says “They are trying so hard” as he refutes with “But their ears are kept shut.” It’s dark enough to be disconcerting, but powerful enough to be a war chant.
